life blurb

i wanted to let the blog world know:

i am going to Coffee Fest this weekend in NY.

i finished my first week of insanity and i feel great.

i bought tickets to texas, and while i am there i am scoping out competition for my coffee shop.

i love my job(s) and am possibly getting a temporary third job.

the Lord is surprising me each day.

i may be broke but i am so happy. money is nothing.

and although where i am living is not ideal and may not be my favorite place, i love the people that surround me every day and i am so lucky to be where i am.

embrace where you are. it’s where you are supposed to be.

(twenty two by twenty two update will come a bit late this week… SORRY!)

Insta-weekend

This weekend nine of us road-tripped up to Gainesville for a Labor Day get away. The past few days have been filled with beautiful and unforgettable moments. This weekend has remined me not only that I have a short time before I graduate, but I must make the most of every situation, conversation and interaction I have with people here. Here are just a few pictures (more to come) of the great weekend I had!

Uganda- A blessed time

As most of you know I was in Uganda for the last few weeks. I got back Thursday night and have finally pulled myself to the computer screen to write a blog post about it. I think I was so hesitant to write a post because there is no way to put in words the time I had there. We spent many nights at crusades and speaking at schools and churches about the love of Christ. Just meeting the beautiful, welcoming, simplistic people in the towns we visited left me humbled to a new extent. We were able to see many people healed and released from bondages of sin and witchcraft.

Here is an excerpt from my journal entry from July 28th:

“I am amazed by the simplicity of life here. No hustle and bustle. No distractions from technology. Just life at the simplest I’ve seen it. No complaints.  No judgement. Just life, the way it is supposed to be lived.”

I wish I could go into every detail of the trip, but that would be a very, very long post that no one would read. So please join me in continually praying for the people in Uganda and their salvation. Pray for hope and peace that passes all understanding. God is actively working in the hearts of the Ugandans.

Nashville visit in snapshots

I am on vacation in Nashville, and although have not been as good as I hoped to be at taking photos of all the places I went, here are some of the places I have went from Atlanta to Franklin. And don’t worry, I still got Instagram pics to post later!

Enjoy : )
