This month has been quite wonderful so far. With an amazing theatrical production and some much needed rest, I am almost ready to pack my bags and head to Uganda for two weeks. I can’t believe it is almost here! Soon enough I’ll be graduating college… Oh geez. I need to stop myself! I hope everyone is having a lovely summer so far. Be sure to stay cool… It’s getting HOT outside.
It’s been a great summer so far. I can’t believe I will be back in Kampala, Uganda in less than one month! Although I had many great adventures up to this point in the summer, since work has started my spontaneous travels have lessened and although things may seem quite boring at times, knowing I will be going to Uganda is enough for me.
Where is your summer destination?
I know it has been quiet over her, but I’ll be honest… Nothing is really going on in my life. Summer is not as exciting as I had hope. Then again, it is only the first week; I will be heading to Nashville this weekend for a few days so hopefully there will be more blog-worthy things going on. As for now, here are are some snapshots of my summer so far!
What are YOUR plans for the summer?
It’s summer and summer means YELLOW everywhere! These are some of my favorite yellow finds as of late : )
1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7.
Just two short months until I return to Uganda. I can’t even express my excitement in words or on paper. It is going to be amazing!
Welp, summer is not here yet for me… I am spending my days in a cold classroom with six other students. BUT surprisingly I am loving every second of it. I am taking Life of Christ and I sure do love learning about the man that died for us. Unfortunately this class ends Friday and next week begins a 3-week intensive for journalism and photography. I can’t wait to put my NEW Canon Rebel t3 to the test!
Here’s a little bit of my “summer” so far!
Sadly, I had to say goodbye to my beautiful housemates this weekend. Anna Marie, the blondie in the middle is currently in Zambia and will be spending her summer working at Southeastern. Naida, the ginger on the right is leading a mission trip to Amsterdam next week and when she returns will be interning at Ebenezer’s Coffeehouse in Washington D.C. For those of you who don’t know about Ebenezer’s, it is the coffeehouse owned and operated by National Community Church which is pastored by Mark Batterson!
